Shree Krishan Gaushala
New Delhi
Shri Krishan Gaushala is a well-known Cow Shelter in Delhi, built on values of compassion and community service. Since its foundation in 1995, the Gaushala has grown into a large sanctuary, spread across 177 acres of government-allotted land. Initially challenged by a lack of drinking water for cows, the committee, under Surajbhaan Gupta’s leadership and Minister Chhaganlal Gupta’s persistent efforts, successfully arranged canal water from Haryana. Today, Shri Krishan Gaushala is equipped with modern covered sheds and continues to improve its infrastructure through community donations. The Gaushala is not just a shelter but a movement that honors the cultural significance of cows and promotes ethical treatment. It remains a trusted destination for those who wish to contribute towards animal welfare and spiritual service.
