William is founder and principal of Acorn Consulting Services, LLC. A consulting mechanical engineer specializing in the built environment, Bill provides project analysis, forensic reconstruction, risk mitigation and litigation support services. Services relate to the design, delivery and function of advanced manufacturing facilities, semiconductor fabrication facilities, institutional laboratories, health care facilities and various types of commercial buildings.
With more than 30 years experience as a professional engineer and design firm founder and principal, Bill is an internationally recognized authority on assessing, evaluating, conceptualizing and remediating complex project design, construction and operational issues related to HVAC systems, cleanrooms, process and plumbing systems, refrigeration systems, and building and fire code compliance.
His consulting expertise has been influential in shaping approaches to code compliance and life safety in semiconductor and other advanced technology facilities.

He has been recognized for technical achievements, innovation and foresight by peers, associates and clients, and has been elected to the status of Fellow in the industry-leading organization, ASHRAE.
