Bungie Releases Update 8.0.0.7 for Destiny 2, Addressing Bugs and Gameplay Issues
Bungie has launched Update 8.0.0.7 for Destiny 2, which addresses various bugs and gameplay issues related to activities, Guardian abilities, and more. This week is significant for Destiny 2 fans, as Act 2 of Episode Echoes has finally arrived after a three-week break.
The shift from Seasons to the new Episode format has left some players feeling disappointed due to the downtime between multiple Acts. However, there is positive news ahead, as Bungie has confirmed that Episode 2: Revenant will release all story content at once, eliminating the time-gating elements seen in Episode 1: Echoes. This change has been well-received by fans, who continue to praise the new approach. Bungie is committed to monitoring player feedback, which means adjustments could be made before Episode 3 launches in 2025. In addition to these larger changes, Bungie is also releasing smaller updates to address more immediate concerns. The latest update coincided with the weekly reset, bringing fixes to various activities and gear within the game.
Adjustments were made to activities such as the Liminality strike, Ghosts of the Deep dungeon, and Salvation's Edge raid, resolving bugs and issues that could lead to crashes, despawning, or other unintended behaviors. The Pathfinder has also undergone several tweaks, including a change to a node that previously required 150 Cabal kills, making it less specific to include any combatant. In terms of gameplay fixes, Update 8.0.0.7 introduces changes to the Titan's Precious Scars exotic armor, ensuring that the Sol Invictus and Offensive Bulwark Aspects no longer block Kintsugi. Additionally, the Warlock's Osmiomancy Gloves have been adjusted to work exclusively with Coldsnap grenades, whereas the regeneration bonus previously applied to all grenade types. The Shieldcrush perk in Destiny 2's Artifact was also fixed due to an issue where Grapple Punch was receiving full bonuses from either half of the perk, making it more powerful than intended.
